The California Innocence Project (CIP) is a law school clinical program at California Western School of Law dedicated to releasing wrongfully convicted inmates, and providing an outstanding educational experience to the students enrolled in the clinic. Over the past seventeen years, CIP has helped free twenty-two people who have spent a combined two hundred and sixty-four years in prison. This presentation will provide an introduction and overview of the process of investigation and exoneration undertaken by the program, along with how students participate in the process, and the typical challenges faced.

Presenter Jasmin Harris, is a Pro-Bono Volunteer Coordinator and Advocacy Board Member with CIP. Jasmin will be joined by Kimberly Long, a recent exoneree and founding member of the Exoneree Support Committee.
