Since 2001 family law courts and practitioners have ordered or stipulated to co‑parent communication via OurFamilyWizard (OFW). This presentation will advise family law practitioners of online communication technology that is being used to reduce litigation and improve outcomes for divorced and separated families. In particular, this presentation will emphasize the free OFW tools available for family law practitioners to oversee parent communication, gather evidence, and access authenticated records. Each attendee will also receive proposed language for court orders and agreements, as well as an overview of the OFW Fee Waiver program for low income parents.
Matt Havrevold graduated in 2008 from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Journalism and Business. After graduating he worked in the legal software industry as both a manager and business liaison for 5 years before joining the OurFamilyWizard (OFW) team in February 2014. His primary role with OFW is to travel the country to meet with courts and family law practitioners to discuss the various issues impacting divorced and separated families. Matt works to educate family law professionals on the specific features of OFW and its best usage for improving family outcomes and facilitating co-parent communication in moderate to high conflict parenting scenarios.
