Presenter Steven Chung will discuss upcoming changes in tax law, including newly-passed tax provisions to incentivize employers to allow sick leave and maintain employment, and other tax provisions employers can use to minimize taxes and get refunds from the federal government. This presentation will include tax planning tips in anticipation of lower revenue in 2020.
Steven Chung has been a tax lawyer since 2006, receiving his law degree from Whittier Law School, and a Masters in Tax (LLM) from Loyola Law School where he graduated with honors and high distinction. Steven has defended clients in IRS and state audit examinations, successfully reducing tax liabilities, penalties and interest charges. In addition, Steven helps startups establish business entities, and provides legal guidance on employment, intellectual property and tax compliance matters. Steven is a weekly columnist at AboveTheLaw.com, and also writes about taxes and law firm matters at Lawyerist.com.
